The Education Standing Committee and the Health and Social Standing Committee met and agreed on a recommendation for school in the Gila River Indian Community to return to in-person learning beginning January 18, 2022. As part of the recommendation, parents or guardians must provide the school where the student attends a negative COVID-19 PCR test, taken by a licensed health care provider, and taken no more than five days before the student’s first day of in-person learning.
