Good Day Gila Crossing Families,
Governor Lewis has issued an Executive Order that states students may be able to come back in person as early as Tuesday, February 22, the day after President's Day.
We want to make sure you know that in order for your student to be eligible to come back in person as early as February 22, they need to show two things:
1) They will need to be fully vaccinated, NOT including the booster. But this would mean two doses for Pfizer or Moderna, or one dose of Johnson&Johnson. Again, fully vaccinated would not include the booster dose, but we strongly encourage you to take advantage of the booster doses if you or they are eligible.
2) A negative COVID-19 lab test will be necessary before returning to in-person learning, no less than 5 days prior to the return, which would be Thursday, February 17 or after. We are working with Gila River Health to schedule testing on-site for the 17th and/or 18th.
